How to Recognize a Difficulty in Your Child

Treatment vs. Natural Training

Nowadays there are countless forms of treatment being offered for learning and behavioral difficulties such as Attention deficit disorder and Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD ADHD), dyslexia, and more.  More than ninety percent of these programs are with medications. They designed to treat the symptoms of Attention deficit disorder, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia and other difficulties instead of examining the root causes of the issues.  Intelligence Integration  a natural treatment offers an alternative to these treatments.

It’s often easy to recognize a difficulty but knowing how to locate the root source of the difficulty can be less obvious.  In place of treatment, Intelligence Integration offers a natural physical training program that begins with an evaluation of the root causes of the difficulty and leads you step-by-step through techniques that can help you or your child improve the symptoms at-hand.  Find out how!

What is a “functional difficulty?”

Natural Treatment - Intelligence Integration is based in the assumption that learning and behavioral difficulties originate in how the body’s motor and sensory systems function.

Learning and behavioral difficulties such as Attention deficit disorder and Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder can create symptoms that do not clearly point to the underlying physical issues.  We term this a “functional difficulty” because it is rooted in how the body functions.  For example, a child who struggles with ADD-ADHD may actually struggle with hypersensitivity (over-functioning) in one or more of his senses.  In some other cases, the root cause can be what we call poor bilateral communication (i.e., how well the brain’s left and right hemispheres communicate with each other).

It is important to know behaviors that may result from a functional difficulty can be mild or severe, frequent or occasional, and can sometimes occur only in certain environments (e.g., at home but not at school and vice versa).  Find out more about how to identify these conditions.

How can a functional difficulty affect a child’s life?

A few examples of how a functional difficulty can affect a child’s life:

·         A child who has poor eye motor control can suffer from issues in reading comprehension, poor athletic ability, poor spatial awareness, high levels of frustration, and a general lack of patience for or interest in reading, sports, or other activities that would rely heavily on fluid eye motor control. These difficulties are likely to affect his behavior and his self-esteem.

·         A child who has difficulty with fine motor activities will feel muscular tension during every task in which he uses his hands: writing, drawing, cutting with cissors, holding utensils, and so on.  As a result, the tension that accumulates in his body will cause emotional frustration affecting his moods, self-control, and self-esteem.

Functional difficulties require training—they will not improve on their own.  Natural Treatment for ADHD - Intelligence Integration works to correct the root dysfunction so that body and brain can function in fluid coordination with other capacities such as cognition and emotion.  It helps to increase the child’s awareness of his body as well as to improve his ability to identify and regulate his moods, attention, behavior, organizational skills, symptoms of Attention deficit disorder or Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and more.

With the end of the first quarter, I would like to report to you that there is a big improvement concerning David’s functioning compared to

previous years.  He is much more relaxed and comfortable, with no discipline problems at all (in past years, we had many).  Academically, he is doing very well, showing motivation and caring, and his achievements are speaking for themselves. You can see that he is in a positive growing process.
